Torrequebrada Golf is regarded as one of the best golf courses in Europe, one of it's main features is the variety in the design of its fairways, because you do need to think carefully about the best club on every single shot. As for natural hazards, there are plenty of trees and bushes, six holes are affected by water and there are numerous strategically placed bunkers. The 16th, a short par 4, is a dogleg to the right with a downhill second shot towards an elevated green where the pin is barely visible.
The Torrequebrada golf course offers spectacular views over the sea but the wind can sometimes present players with an extra degree of difficulty. Since opening in 1976 Torrequebrada has hosted many world class tournaments including the Spanish Open, and is the home club of PGA European Tour professional Miguel Angel Jimenez.
