The Almenara golf course opened in 1998 and has three nine-hole loops, each of which is the brainchild of local architect Dave Thomas. Almenara golf also provides very extensive practice and teaching facilities. A Pro' shop and restaurant complete the amenities at one of the Costa del Sol's most up-and-coming golfing venues.
Almernara Golf is a 27 hole golf course is set in the upper part of Sotogrande yet still only five minutes from the beach. Surrounded by cork, oak trees and wild pines, the wooded terrain so typical of the Sotogrande area, there are also several streams as well as a natural lake, making for testing water hazards and undulating greens, all of which serve to make this a very beautiful course, a challenging course with stunning views.
